YOU'VE BEEN GONE SO LONG BRANDI. WE MISS YOU SO MUCH
EVERYDAY I WONDER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING TODAY?
I remember the day you passed away. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn't make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, bright eyes laid to rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best.
You never said, "Good-bye." You were gone before we knew it, And only God knew why. A million times we've needed you, A million times we've cried. If love alone could have saved you, You never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, In death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a special place, That no one else could fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, But you did not go alone- For part of us went with you, The day God took you home.
If
"If wishes were horses" Tis a thought I well know "Beggars would ride" But where would they go? To sun-speckled pools The dappled mares go They race up high mountains To dance in the snow
"If wishes were horses" I know where I'd ride For a fortnight I'd travel To be by your side I'd crash through your office "On the twenty-first floor?" Lift you up to the saddle And race out the door
And then up the walls of the world We would race Laughing and singing Feel the wind in your face? Through star-studded meadows Our stallion he flys And we'd stop 'neath an elm tree And I'd gaze in your eyes
"If wishes were horses" They are love, they are! "Beggars would ride" So let's head for the stars
Brian Preble, 1989
If tears could build a stairway IF TEARS COULD BUILD A STAIRWAY AND MEMORIES WERE A LANE I WOULD WALK RIGHT UP TO HEAVEN TO BRING YOU HOME AGAIN NO FAREWELL WORDS WERE SPOKEN NO TIME TO SAY GOODBYE YOU WERE GONE BEFORE I KNEW IT AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY MY HEART STILL ACHES WITH SADNESS AND SECRET TEARS STILL FLOW WHAT IT MEANT TO LOSE YOU NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW" Anonymous
This memorial website was created in the memory of our daughter, Brandi Larson who was born in Devils Lake, North Dakota on November 11, 1985 and earned her angel wings on February 29, 2004 at the age of 18 in a two vehicle accident.
Brandi was born on a snowy November day. She weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Her hair was black and curly and she had brown eyes until they eventually turned to a beautiful blue. She was born to a proud mom and grandparents. Grandpa and Grandma Larson helped take care of her and Grandpa and Grandma Bentz would visit whenever possible. Brandi was very close to all of her grandparents and cherished her time with them. She is now in heaven with her Grandma Bentz and Grandpa Larson.
Forever Free
Of all the things I've ever seen, Of all the dreams I've ever dreamed, The finest sight that's come to me, White horses wild beside the sea They ran across the trackless sand In that remote, forgotten land, And in their running they were free Beside the boundless, unchained sea.
They raced the first light of the day And surged across a shallow bay To feed at ease in grassy plains With wind alone to groom their manes.
No barn or stable was their home. No one could govern where they roamed. They galloped on the fenceless tracts With no ones burden on their backs.
And each swift horse was nature's child At home on land forever wild, And each wild horse was meant to be At home on land forever free.
Brandi loved to draw and did a very good job of it. She took art classes starting in the 7th grade. She spent a lot of time doing what she loved, drawing. She always told me she couldn't draw humans very well and that animals were easier. I thought she drew both well. I will attempt to post some of her drawings in the near future. Brandi also had a love for playing basketball. She began playing in the 5th grade and continued until the 9th when she hurt her knee. She would always play for hours in the driveway with her dad and brother. The three of them loved to play. Brandi's brother now plays and loves it too. He always tries to get the jersey with number 32. That was Brandi's number.
Brandi touched many lives including all family and friends. She is known for her bright smile that would light up any room she walked into. She loved to laugh and spend time with others. Brandi we miss you.
You never said, "I'm leaving
